Twitter Update: Small Thoughts from Small Minds

After nearly a month on the social networking site, I've decided that Twitter is a big old fat waste of time.  In fact, I would even go so far as to say it embodies all of the worst characteristics of modern American society: it encourages quanitity of thoughts rather than quality of thoughts; it highlights inherent narcissism; and it's annoying.

Your twitter thing about the lack of a book store sparked me to finish my book store business plan that I've been putting off. *Some* good came out of it.

Well, that's good then. It's ridiculous that there are NO bookstores in Lompoc and only B. Dalton at the mall in Santa Maria. Pathetic.

I didn't know where else to post this, but I like your current favorite quotation. Some other Voltaire quotes I like are

"To succeed in this world it is not enough to be stupid, you must also be well-mannered."

and

"God is a comedian playing to an audience too afraid to laugh."

You know that store in the mall closed this past Friday?

I love Voltaire. He was one of the few French philosophers I out-and-out LOVED studying.

As far as the bookstore, I hate to say it, but that might be due to the kind of people who live in Santa Maria and Lompoc. (Of course, my mom argues that most Lompocians do all their shopping on-line, so I might be wrong.)
